Clear Path Welcomes New Peer Support Manager

Clear Path for Veterans is happy to welcome Michael Spaiches to the headquarters staff in Chittenango, NY. Michael will be working in the Peer Program as a Peer Support Manager assisting Veterans across the Central New York region.

Spaiches served in the United States Navy and retired from the New York Air National Guard, 174th Attack wing in 2014 after 25 years of service. In 2006 he was deployed to Balad, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. After his retirement, Spaiches attended Columbia College and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management.

Having been familiar with Clear Path for Veterans since 2015 when his stepson attended Sea Cadet training at Clear Path, Spaiches describes his first impression of Clear Path as “finding peace and tranquility.” His career path would eventually lead him to Clear Path and the opportunity to give back to his fellow Veterans.

Speaking on his passion to serve Spaiches stated, “I am thankful and blessed for this opportunity to be a part of a great organization. I had a calling to give back to Veterans and working at Clear Path to help in any capacity is what I needed to do.” He went on to say, “I have walked in the same boots as the Veterans that Clear Path serves and as a Peer Support Manager, I will be able to truly help them.”

Within his new role, Spaiches is looking forward to establishing relationships with Veterans in the community and helping take the Peer Support Program to the next level of success.
