Moral Injury Presentation and Discussion

5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Clear Path for Veterans

1223 Salt Springs Road

Chittenango, NY 13037

Join Clear Path for Veterans and Presenters Dr. Rebeccah Bernard, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and J. David Quilter, Captain, US Marines, Vietnam 1969-70 as they discuss the topic of Moral Injury. “Moral injury” refers to the lasting impact (emotional, psychological, social, behavioral, and spiritual) of actions that violate a person’s core moral values and behavioral expectations of self or others. For military servicepeople, moral injury can be caused by events such as: feeling you’ve let buddies or team members down, survivor’s guilt, causing harm to civilians, sexual trauma, having to follow unjust or unethical orders, or participating in a conflict one doesn’t believe in.

Hear experiences from fellow veterans and ask questions during the Q&A.

This event is open to all veterans, service members, and military-connected families. Please note, this lecture will be filmed for a documentary.
