Grow Your Own Mushrooms with Fruit of the Fungi

In partnership with KC and Kristine Mangine, owners of Fruit of the Fungi, Clear Path for Veterans will host a how to grow your own mushrooms workshop. Guests will leave with a Garden Giant mushroom kit to grow their own mushrooms at home.

The Garden Giant better known as King Stropharia or the wine cap mushroom, has a delicious mild potato cooked in red wine flavor, is low in sodium and calories, and is fat and cholesterol free. Garden Giants are a great source of iron, protein, and calcium and are easy to grow in your home garden!

This event will take place in collaboration with the Friday Night Fires, guests will enjoy dinner and an educational discussion on growing mushrooms at home. Guests can arrive early to eat dinner at Friday Night Fire.

All materials will be provided. Classes are open to veterans, service members, and military connected families. Gardeners of all experience levels and ages are welcome to join.
